Highland Beach was named for its relatively elevated location along A1A between Boca Raton and Delray Beach. Highland Beach has only two businesses, which keeps the city mostly residential. It's know to be one of the most exclusive coastal towns in the country as it's ranked #24 on the list of the wealthiest zip codes in Florida by the South Florida Business Journal.

Watch the hatchelings during sea turtle season which is from May 1 through October 31. Dine at the oceanfront Sands Resort's restaurant, Lattitudes.
