Delray Beach was once named “Most Fun Small Town in the USA” by Rand McNally and USA Today, and it’s easy to see why! Delray Beach is known for its lively Atlantic Avenue and downtown area, where beautiful beaches meet shops and nightlife.
Once a pineapple grove, where 2nd Ave. in Downtown Delray got its name. Delray Beach is rich in history from the Colony Hotel and Old School Square (the former Delray Elementary School) and the the historic home of teacher/principal Solomon D. Spady was renovated and turned into the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum.
You can always find things to do in Delray Beach, from the Morikami Japanese Gardens to The Girls for strawberry picking and petting zoo. With tons of festivals including the Delray Affair every April, and an array of restaurants, watering holes, shops, galleries and even the Silverball pinball museum, there's always a fun time in Delray Beach!
